I guess it does not work out with Miyuki. Reminded me of "5 Centimeters per Second" or "La La Land". A lot of times you just end up with someone else. It just a fact of life. In the case here their ambition and career just draw them apart from each other. Sad but understandable. All that matter is hopefully they find happiness in life despite separated.
