Even if the protagonist didn't have affection for her it would still only be right for him to go save her after what she's done for him because technically she's being punished because of him

I mean, if ur bro got in trouble cuz of u, ud save him, so if ur h- erm i mean if a girl gets in trouble cuz of him he should save her too... GENDER EQUALITY YAY!

To be honest I don’t know where this is going, unless MC gets a major power boost his situation will ultimately have a DEAD END...

What the heck did the brown haired girl even do? They just came when everything was over.

@monkey123

Exactly. I even went back and re-read several chapters. She kinda showed up for a single panel 3x chapters back, then... nothing until the torture. She didn't say a single word to anyone, nor did it even show her leaving the area. Either the mangaka messed up and forgot something, or the storytelling is just falling apart.

Even if just bring them there she did it without permission, that's still enough for punishment and it could cause war against other family.

@Blackbird @monkey123

Note left to dad.

"I left with the army to save the boy I like from his head family. Be back soon"

Meanwhile the families use any excuse to war against each other... yea, like that'd go over well...

It's worse than taking the family car(s) out for a joyride...

seekermoc The reason she was tortured was because she took trops to help someone, and that someone is the man she likes and she have a political fiancee. Can you understand now?

That's what she would get for doing this kind of dumb thing.... why did you even try to do it??? Xianghe could've just done it by himself ....

i think the old man was shocked because the book is nothing special, and we will find out that the MC was just very talented with a lack of self-confidence and choose to fool himself into thinking it was all because of the magic book.
