It's not redundant work, because now somebody still has to go and translate all the chapters that were skipped over.

I can see you're trying your hardest to justify this, but they really should have just done the next chapter in the same language.

And you seem to be misunderstanding something here. I am not trying to justify anything, I am telling you how things stand and the reason behind this. You can feel entitled and say how the TL "really should have just done the next chapter in the same language" but this is not up to you to decide. The TL does not have a duty to TL whatever chapter you want just because you do not know Spanish. Either wait for champion's release or learn Spanish/Japanese, you don't have many other options.

Instead, by translating into English the TL just inconvenienced a bunch of people who do not read Spanish and aren't interested in spoiling the series for themselves.

It's not about a sense of entitlement to force the TL to do what I or anybody else wants. It's that by doing so, a bunch of people read the chapter inadvertently and had it spoiled almost 5 chapters ahead of the current scans. That's what most people are bitching about.

@criver Wow, a whole lot of assumptions going on here. First of all, most people commenting here have a negative reaction for a very justifiable reason. It's completely reasonable to assume that the most recently uploaded chapter would be the next chapter.
Secondly, my argument that they should have done the next chapter isn't based on my own entitlement, but rather a more utilitarian view on how chapters should be translated. Or are you suggesting that they should be done arbitrarily with no regard for readability?
Finally, you seem to be using the only two people who insulted the translator to delegitimize complaints from a much larger amount of people in this comment section, which is disingenuous.
I've been arguing in good faith up until now, but it seems that I've wasted my time.

Plenty of times chapters are uploaded out of order or there are missing chapters on mangadex, it's not a reason not to upload them though. Learn to check chapter numbers if you can't remember what the last chapter was. It's by no means the TL's fault that you can't be bothered to do that and spoiled the manga for yourself - stop blaming others for your mistakes.
Your "utilitarian view" works only if a person can't read Spanish or is against reading ahead - so this is really about you and is in no way an objective argument, so it really is about entitlement. The fact that you can't read Spanish doesn't mean others can't. The fact that you have an issue with reading ahead, doesn't mean that others have. You have the option of not reading the chapter, however you want to make sure others also can't. Are you serious?

@Ohgodpleaseno The logic behind your reasoning is faulty, due to your preconceived intended result and erroneous premises. You observe the result and than try to figure out the reasons behind it and its possible consequences. If you would only think a little about it, in the long term, there's much more benefit in me posting an English chapter so far ahead than in Spanish (a part from the fact that the Spanish translation team works hard and will release the chapter any day now). If nothing else, both English and Spanish share Roman alphabet, similar grammar and words. Even Google translate can help those curious enough to go ahead, since it's rather good with languages such as French-English-Spanish-Italian (same family of languages).

@criver Since your views coincide with mine quite a bit, I thank you for saving me a lot of time by responding to others in a very similar manner to what I would have answered. Also thanks for having good observational skills and good logic to back that up. I might just clear a few uncertainties here and there.

@ZeroMomo I didn’t clean or do any similar quality improving actions on the pages, simply because I deemed the scans I took from the official page to be of decent quality, which most likely won’t be for proper scanlation groups. Also, as criver mentioned, the "primary concern" / the goal of my project this time around wasn’t that. Thanks for inquiring. :)
Although, I am very much looking forward to see the differences between my work and what they'll do when they come to it!

@SirChampion Calling out some of your questionable business practices=/= shit-talking. Like milking out the series by dragging out the releases of the chapters. Or hoping that someone, due to the rise in popularity and demand of the series, will come and donate/vote towards this series so you start releasing the chapters faster. Then immediately getting angry if someone threatens your work and trying to catch up so that you don't lose this little, if not already then about to be, precious gem of a series, etc... Or maybe you just don't have enough members, too many projects, bad time management which are all possibilities and none of them commendable... Inherently nothing wrong, just kinda rubs me the wrong way since you're so far behind. Personally, nothing against you specifically SirChampion.

When I said 2-3 months away, I was talking about the projected estimation, based on your previous releases, of when you would arrive to this chapter (37.1).

@Kosac07: Sadly this seems to be the default reaction of the majority of users on mangadex for some reason, a similar thing happened on another manga's comment section. Half the people make it about themselves and throw a tantrum since the TL supposedly "has the duty" to TL the next chapter exactly, and if he doesn't do so it's definitely because he's out to piss them off. The other half fling shit because the chapter was "sniped" as if the other scanlators have licensed the manga for their region. A common theme seems to be people believing whatever fits their narrative rather than taking things at face value.

As for feedback on the wording, it's perfectly readable, however you might want to get a native speaker as a proofreader just to make it sound more natural. You can also center align the text, since it seems to piss off some people - I honestly don't care about that though.
To be more concrete about the wording, here are some examples:
Page 1: "This world I don't understand. Should just be destroyed!", -> "I don't understand this world. It should be destroyed/I should just destroy it!", reads more naturally, however I don't know how the original looked like, so maybe the wording is like this on purpose.
Page 4: "It is enough" -> "That's enough"
Page 8: "I will never leave my precious family to be alone!" -> "I will never leave my precious family alone!"
Note that all of these are very minor and it's even arguable whether they are necessarily an improvement.
My advice would be to just add a recruitment part in the credits of your releases.

I also think that the quality is ok, but you can always try an run it through a nonlinear diffusion filter or a NL means if you deem it necessary.

I think you also didn't realize it, but even the members of champion scans don't agree with your conspiracy theory.

Every job is better paying than translating manga for free. *sigh* So, Bolshack, what you are saying, then, is that for each manga translated illegitimately someone should contact the host website, the download host website and the advertisers host website and advise that this group is illegally uploading stolen, plagiarized copyright material and that any of tuem can be liable for any damages to the Japanese and or western (pick your country) manga market, such that the websites take down the translators work and/or ban them from using said service?
Because accusing one group of "stealing" from another group that is clearly stealing from a publisher and a mangaka is effectively only going to lead to that path. Neither group/person has permission or even bothered to attempt to get permission to translate and/or upload these copyrighted works that they are claiming ownership of (well, for those groups who actually actively claim ownership). Therefore neither group has any right to the works to claim on in the first place.
No one can "snipe" the translation away from anyone with the sole exception of a legitimate publisher that would otherwise see the manga as a financial opportunity; and don't bother with the argument that people will purchase the works when (if) they are brought legitimately to their country as that argument works about as well here as ripping movies or video games (purchasing media years after its release and on sale or used does NOT make up the money one would pay for the initial release when that person enjoyed it during the initial release...).
Additionally, and as implied earlier, any translator (or even person hosting) is putting themselves at legal risk by doing so. Perhaps people are not sued on a regular basis, but it does happen and both the original publisher, the mangaka and any alternative publisher has the right to the lawsuit and damages thereof. The translation groups? Not even close.

No, if criver, or any of us who are tired of this idiotic pissing contest - which neither translation group is participating in (so far as I can tell) - of rights to translate where "white knight-ing" we would out right end the discussion by reporting one or both groups, either to the administration here or to someone who can stop them at the source.
I don't see that happening any time soon, but if people keep whining about sniping, rights to translate, or ownership, we will all be punished and proven wrong when those who HAVE ownership catch on, and get tired of it...

(P.s. it isn't that hard to terrify an advertizing group away from websites, or hosting sites from content by threatening them, even if the one making the threats doesn't have any authority to do so... They don't want to lose business and will drop "risky content" like hot rocks...)

Finally, I am sorry that I came in on the tail end of a conversation, but I am so tired of people whining about some random person taking a shot at translating, typesetting, or the like uploading their work and getting accusing them of trying to profit off of it...
