I hope we get more of All Might's backstory but I'm gonna guess that is reserved for the movie and this was an advertisment for it like the other chapter with Melissa, right?

Are this and the other promo chapter the first real explanation of All Might's connection with America? Endeavor's called him "the American" before and obviously he has all the American themed stuff, but I don't think they've ever said before how his career started in the U.S.

@spurgleburgle I'm pretty sure his first official appearance as a hero was when he saved a bunch of people during a disaster/fire (as shown in chapter 1) so he probably didn't become famous in America, he only developed his skills there till he was stronger and then went back to Japan to fight AFO.

Probably only the people who investigated his past know he was in America.

@Acolytus Was the disaster/fire in Japan or could it have been in America? An online video being seen across the world isn't uncommon after all.

@tony246 At least in the anime that scene was in japanese and neither the anime nor the manga give any indication that the people in the video were talking in english or that that footage wasn't from Japan (Deku wouldn't understand what All Might was saying otherwise) so it's safe to assume it happened in Japan.
