The wife can't deal with her emotions getting fired up.
And the husband needs his emotions fired up.
On the face of it, that's a tad problematical. Talk about incompatible personalities.
In regard to the glasses getting steamed up and his needing to take them off so he can see and her not dealing with that because she gets all fired up looking at him without his glasses?
Since I wear glasses, I totally understand his situation.
Can she deal with looking at him with glasses that don't have any lenses in them, ie empty frames?
If she can, that's a fairly simple fix. Empty frames don't cost all that much if you aren't going for designer labels.
Except... I always took my glasses off because they get knocked about and in the way if you get your face as close to someone as you really should during certain activities.
Also, make sure you use plenty of lube if she doesn't want her emotions fired up before you get started, or it's going to be very painful, as she isn't going to be naturally lubricated.
Sure hope she can deal with her emotions getting fired up after they get down to it, or it's never going to be pleasant for her.
And since he actually does care for her, that means he isn't going to enjoy it once he really catches on if she keeps her emotions clamped down during the act.
Ahem.
Not being willing to take her by force, to rape her, does NOT make him a eunuch or a wimp, OK?
A certain level of sensitivity is a good thing in a relationship.
That said, if you are one who does have some sensitivity, you'll be looking for indicators that she isn't going to be giving off since she doesn't deal well with her emotions.
And attempting to establish a romantic moment will backfire so long as she doesn't want to be emotional.
The unrealistic bit is how in the hell they actually got together in regard to marriage; it had to be as a result of her cold bloodedly deciding that he was someone she could live with, if she's been clamping down on her emotions all this time. Since she's known him since they were children she's comfortable in his presence. And I guess she decided that getting married was what should occur at this stage in her life. Since it's not coded tragedy, but rather comedy, this aspect is not going to be dealt with realistically.
I suspect you can all tell just which person I sympathize with in this manga...
I do feel sorry for her, but at a fundamental level she's the one who needs to change. If she's not willing to do so, get the hell out of that marriage and move as far apart as possible!

One really important fact that’s not being pointed out is they say “it has been a few days since the honeymoon” so not long has passed since a failed attempt at having sex thus its not surprising that it hasn’t happened yet
Sadly as its a comedy its unlikely they will be making any progress in that regard any time soon especially since he is timid and she is bad at expressing her emotions or even just dealing with her emotions at all.

@Weasalopes I made the first comment on this manga yesterday before the chapter was released on this site and that was my main gripe (read it on the scanlators for those wondering). Ya, it's a comedy so it shouldn't be taken too seriously, but the premise was just too ridiculous. Absolutely zero experience, zero dating, zero contact and all of a sudden they decide to get married. And surprise, they are extremely incompatible with each other. They can't even properly express their emotions to each other and somehow they suddenly just jump to marriage and sex. For me, that was just... Dumb on multiple levels. Again, even for a comedy that is just really, really bad comedy.
I plan to wait for a few chapters before I give up on it. Mainly to chapter 6 or 8 where the title is something like "punishment for cheating." If it is just a comedy then it will be something derpy like making the other feel good and they get a vanilla punishment. But if it's as bad as it sounds, 1), I wouldn't be surprised since these types of scenarios usually (at least in manga, fiction, etc) end up in affairs because it's easier to find a partner you are only sexually interested in. Hence, again, making the whole straight to marriage bit even more ridiculous. And 2) proves that we aren't wrong in thinking it was ridiculous in the first place. I'd prefer to be wrong tho. Like I said in my original comment, absolutely prefer fluff to drama.
As for the characters, I don't think he needs to "rape" her, but he definitely needs to be a little more aggressive since she is clearly repressed like crazy. And her actions even prove how inconsistent she is as well. She wants to have sex but immediately says some dumb shit and pisses the zero experience guy off, who is a beta type character in general, not just when it comes to this scenario. And he gets ready to plow her when she sees him "look too sexy for her" and forces them to stop having sex because she probably came by looking at his face, lmao.
All in all, it is a comedy and I accept that, so for the people saying we're taking it too seriously, STFU. But, at the same time, if a comedy is too... Dumb/ridiculous it's no longer funny or cute, just annoying.

He needs to get passionate to become direct, but she shoots him down because she cant handle being excited, which then kills his confidence as a man to push her down, which she complains about him not doing, so the cycle continues.
