You're no good to your family dead. Even if you have life insurance, how long will that even last? Plus, nothing can replace you in their hearts. "Live to fight another day." is a proverb for a reason, and people who follow that idiom are the ones who tend to survive long enough to have children too, to pass that legacy down.
