This was a decent resolution. While it's true they're close, considering a lot of it was based on Misaki's feelings for Erika and Juri pushing him towards that, it takes time to move from a relationship built on emotionally supporting other's love to feeling that love for this person that you never looked at that way. Especially since they both realize it and aren't in denial, just saying that for now it's not like that but later it could be.
