How can you come to that "realization"?
Yes, there was no concrete evidence whether she loved Rei or not. But she respected his wish and didn't command him to quit fighting forever like all of her previous fighters. Her bad mood was because she knew they had to part way soon, so at least there was some attachment between them.
Also, she had never enjoyed using fighters. She hated to see them got killed, therefore commanded them to quit once they lost a match (being Kengan Association member is a must because she was doing business).

I mean, she clearly said that Rei was different. Dunno how much more they need to spell out that her relationship with him wasn't just callous using of him. Hell, she even says that for the others when they lose once she sends them away not because she is disappointed or thinks they're losers but because if they lose they can die and she doesn't want to see that. She only wants winners so she doesn't have to see unnatural deaths.

And yeah, there's a lot of names lately that are becoming really recognizable for being composed entirely of internet buzzwords and hatred of women. Sad that this is a pretty expected thing for the online manga community.
