I like when MCs use their head and use their more experienced opponents to gain themselves some actual combat experience too. Just like in our case.

I think the system stepping in means the MC is more powerful than the assassin, i mean, there was a quest where the aim was just escape monsters for 3 or 4h because the system knew the MC was not strong enough, then there was the quest with the 8 guys, the system knew the mc would win so i guess the system will only ask the MC to kill once he already have the advantage

To be fair, the assassin is kinda drunk on the "justice" and enjoys killing. At least that's how his character is portrayed in my eyes.
