That would be hack if the 4 hours for the penalty is added to the other quest.

On another note: I definitely think this would be one helluva mmo if they ever put it out.

Timer is going down right?
And yes, if the punishment time is added to the job change quest, this is an OP cheat in an already OP scenario.

On the other hand, if the punishment timer is not going down(bc other timer gets all the updates?), I think I can forgive this cheat. Forever stuck in the desert bc he glitched the system. Admins will be frantic, no doubt.

@Marenjii He underestimated the dungeon. He expected to be done with it in a couple hours. He was an idiot for not doing it though, that's for sure.

@gorochi His class quest doesn't have a timer, that's what makes the penalty zone so good. It's "last as long as you can" - he's about to add 4 hours to the timer, which is probably gonna give him an S-Rank job or something

what doesn't kill you make you stronger -insert other lyrics of that kelly clarkson song-

he doesn't learn...

@TehSDragon if it works like you said, then author is a fucking idiot. stances are to stop when player is out of them.

really he became more idiotic after getting the system, at least before he had the excuse of being weak, now he is overestimating himself, bless plot armor

Reminds me of the runescape random events that would tele you while you're in the middle of doing something

since it was hinted and talked about its not really plot armor. on top of that its been shown multiple times that he really isnt op, in this dungeon alone he's nearly been killed multiple times.

It might just be plot armor but its been suggested the "system" wants him to live and is possibly bending the rules to make him succeed and grow stronger. If the author really does have a plan, I hope there is a good answer to the question "To what end?"

There are some very cool possibilities this world has set up. It could be the power of a "player" is needed to take the fight to whatever is behind the portals opening and sacrificing entire groups of hunters to make one player is a worthwhile expense.

And he lv up , and full enery again, ready for second chance.
Btw he buy a new dagger. And become dual handed dagger assasin.

The protagonist is receiving plot armor, but he's also getting in plot trouble. The system--whatever mechanism does the whole hunter/gate thing--is controlling both the quests he receives and bailing him out when he's not quite up to the job. It's already been hinted at several times that the system wants him for something, so the question isn't so much why he's getting plot armor as what he will eventually be expected to do.

Its not about "plot armor and dumb cheat", but its about smart and calculation move from author in this arch. For example again blood commander, jinwo whiff punish/ mistake play enemy and doing full combo into his oblivion. If you play fighting games will understand. And for second stage, its better that way than "iam losing better scream and win then". Love it when author know what its his doing. It is rare to read manga that not lost in middle way.

@Agni it is plot armor. Plot armor is basically no matter how dumb the MC is, there's no way he can die because he's the MC. First off, he forgot to do his daily quest because he thought a Job Change quest would be easy? Seriously? You can't get dumber than that but okay fine, no problem.
Next, the job change quest has a timer for lasting as long as possible? Not plot armor here.
However, getting sent to the punishment world at the exact moment he was about to die is plot armor. If he wasn't the MC he would have just straight up died.

He doesn't even deserve having his "younger" self lecture him. It's been what, a month? Why are you so smug, mind-Sung?

If these 4 hours of penalty zone count towards the job quest timer I might ragequit this series.
