I'm not normally a fan of back stories but this one is done really well and makes the alien guy a lot more relatable.

I feel like I missed a chapter somewhere. Why are we getting this backstory right now? 32 was a continuation of the previous arc, but getting this right now doesn't seem to logically flow from it.

Chapter 30 revealed a different bunch of alien power users who turned out to have been Shuichi's childhood friends, and in this chapter it turns out that they, including Shuichi, have all encountered the bishonen alien with the vending machine at the same time. There are a lot of memories that Shuichi has been repressing and I suspect there will also be ties to the female MC's older sister there somewhere.
