Its mostly world building and getting to know important characters so far. There probably should have been more attempts at finding direction by the MC but so far I'm enjoying the characters introduced enough that it won't matter in the short term for me.

It's been OKAY so far in terms of story, kind of weird all the high ranking demon females are drawn with the single fang sticking out their mouths. Is it the author's fetish or something?

He couldn't do much while a brick eater without getting beaten up, and right now he doesn't have the free will required to "find direction".

I definitely agree on the brick eater part, I don't know why people expected more then and it was skipped through pretty fast because nothing could really happen.
As for now though, he seems to have enough free will to think, even if he wouldn't be plotting getting free. I think its partially because the author doesn't give you that good of an idea of how much the shackles affect him, instead there are just sprinkles will things move forward.

I'll be honest, it took me a while to differentiate between the girl who got kidnapped and the girl in front of her. Both are wearing similar-looking clothes, but I suppose that's the point if both of them are pretty much that of the lower-class - probably can't afford variety as is.

@Liquidxlax it's cause other sites use bots to steal chapters from scanlation sites. but here some scanlation sites(like meraki) follow their delay in uploading outside policy (for meraki which is 1 day maybe)
