is it just me or is this manga really pretentious, even more so than Shokugeki?
@AfroSparrow How so? Beside Yonagi and Chiyoko, all of the best actors are adults.

It is, because it needs to be. If they don't exaggerated it to the point of causing discomfort, everything will fall flat because many thick skull audiences can't pick up every little nuance in the story. Let's be frank, a manga that is too realistic would be boring AF and you won't even bother to critic it anymore.
In reality though, I watched some Japanese movies and... urgh, they left a lot to be desired. So yeah, you should read with a spoonful of salt.
