The larger setting of the story universe with folks recycling bodies like that is quite interesting. Not totally unique, but not overly common either.

How much is 1000mil? Is it expensive? Is it cheap? How many days/month you can survive with that amount of cash?

Seems we are about to get a good look at how the economy works. Are there banks that can be relied on to keep your cash or are you just expected to defend your purse?

@Drifter If there are banks they would be kept safe by the word of the lord of that area or of that bank. Cheese Hunter mentioned earlier that powerful people must honor things like that or be deemed too weak to honor them. Basically if you won't move for something you should it implies the weakness of not being able to move. Shows the limits on your power.

@Drifter @Merilirem

Basically, if there are banks, then the whole world is much much more sophisticated than was shown. Banks are basically the backbone of capitalism that started out mainly only in Renaissance. Before there mostly were just money-lenders. A complete organization for handling of finances requires quite a sophisticated and complex society with a basic understanding of individual rights, both moral, ethical and financial. It was said that this world is extremely primitive one with the emphasis for personal 'strength' and no policing of any kind at all. The existence of such advanced financial institutions as banks is unlikely. BUT, we're all pretty much agreed here that author sucks more than he doesn't, so don't expect him to put too much of a thought into realistic and coherent world building.
