I have to say, it's hard to make sense of this manga.
What happened in the end with all those bandit-looking people? Did they had a sudden flash of sanity and decided to not attack the two?

@CraniumAmbiguity Wasn't that confusing to me. MC never affirmed anything, so he didnt agree to take the crimes upon himself. Then after he told guildmaster that he would kill them next time they left the city the guildmaster quickly backtracked on his words and let MC go free of charges, with some lip-service saying they would get punished (they probably wont).

@flannan I dont think they ever wanted to attack them. Some suspicious-looking ppl (aka adventurers) stumbled upon their camp, gave them a friendly warning as the ppl in the camp didnt look capable, and then continued on. Most likely a group of adventurers on their way home to the city to hand in their goblin-ears/herbs/whatever they collected in the sacks.

Agh now I see it. The Quality of the raws is a little grainy but it is not that bad (especially if you zoom out a little like I do).

If this is true, it was NOT clear.

The threat was a passive remark so it is hard to say if he meant that:1) he would actively hunt them down the next time they left the city, or 2)passively the next time they tried to pull something and he is around.
