@Jeirien@Merilirem
My problem isn't with him having physical skills (which makes sense) or even with the burst of effort he just did. It's with all the hiking he did on his supposedly bum knee.
@AlmondMagnum i know right? If it wasnt just a plot device that pops up when the author finds it convenient it also wouldnt make sense foe MC to keep the leg
If I had a never healing wound on my leg that hurts like hell all the time i'm pretty sure i'd opt for a peg leg instead
@Kazouie
I don't think it's supposed to be that bad as long as he doesn't exert himself. I certainly wouldn't risk an amputation over that, especially above the knee. The problem is that he does exert himself a lot. Maybe things will calm down now and problems will come to him, though, instead of him having to walk to them. Or he'll just ride Femme. But the first few chapters were ridiculous.
she seems to be the kind of big mouth, full of oneself never ever avchieving person, always causing trouble, beeing unable to say "sorry" and still have everyone else saying: "Its fine, your a good person deep down"... like about 1000 other side charakters -.-
I mean could she plz be at least on his level as a caster (loosing because overestimagting his handicap or the loss of his party, underestimating femme is no problem) or clever enough to use his weaknes or anything original or anything with her? I hope I will not be as disapointed as I fear that I will be... fingers crossed that I'm wrong about her
Finally a MC with some common sense. Instead of fighting magic with magic it's easier to win to just interrupt the enemey's spell casting. +1 in my book.
@GerryCerryBery
common sense? jumping a fence and running to close up 20 m distance with an handicapped knee and slap the caster make more sense than throwing a fast small magic chantlessly (as we saw him do before) to disrupt a long chant spell?
that was just stupid.
this tropes is so common in fantasy where a veteran school a newbie mage with no experience in martial art, but this time it was very badly done.
Even though I'd say I'm a pretty avid reader of fantasy and fantasy like isekai manga, I don't remember any other occurrences of this trope at the top of my head.
So I'm quite interested in those other fantasy manga with the 'I cast fist' trope you mentioned. Do any titles come to mind, redcolonel?
Just as references, since it didn't feel that badly done to me.
