Damn, I get he's a dick but he's not stupid. I like his character and ambition whether or not he's quite a villain. I hope he remains on good terms with mc, although at this rate he's severely crippling the fighting potential of his own family if he has to keep killing experts.

It's nice to have a villain with a brain. It's a very rare thing in cultivation series. That being said, although I know why he's killing off everyone stronger than him, I'm not sure if that's the best course of action. Maybe send someone out to the Azure Feather family to warn XingHe about the elder. Then let XingHe handle the problem. It would work out either way for him. If XingHe wins he owes you for the warning. If the Patriarch wins you just have to deal with him afterwards. Let them both expend their energy and swoop in after the fact to clean up the mess.

Wow, didn't expect that. He actually poisoned the Ancestor and held his word with XingHe. I kind of like his character development. I wonder what happened to him in that secret chamber. Pretty sure he has the potential to exceed the 8th realm in the future.

Pretty sure if the Ancestor went with the whole family to XangHe all of them would have been wiped out, leaving the family even weaker. Instead it was better to kill the strongest opposition in the family and then rebuild.

Curious of they are building up the final villain or another ally. He however knows that XingHe has no ambition so there shouldn't be any conflict even if he wanted to become emperor.
