well tbh the very first momment we saw that there was a connection from the past with fuutarou and the sisters i started becoming wary of that plot point because it felt like unnecessary weight for fuutarou to carry , i would prefer if they didn't have any past connections as kids that tied them together

Miku DIDN'T shoot herself in the foot. Fuutarou isn't the typical dense male lead ffs. He OBVIOUSLY got her meaning.
But she also didn't push as strong as Nino which means :
- There will be no immediate rejection nor "on hold" like Nino.
- She can be more open and stay close to him for now.
- Declared war to her sisters openly but also didn't betray them, RIGHT after the chapter where the other 4 agrees on the same things.
