Why did people think this is the end for Yotsuba? It's actually the opposite, it's a fresh start. She finally not chained to the past and can finally start chasing something/someone she truly want.

It's the end of Yotsuba + Fuutarou. Since she has decided to get rid of everything that tied her down to the past and made final memories. It's the start of something new. Will it be Yotsuba + someone else or Yotsuba the Unchained entering the Fuutarou bowl as an official challenger and confessing her feelings to him? Only the future will show.

People should really be careful of appearances, any good mangaka will make false leads, yotsuba seems to be by far the one that gives the worst impression and well that's precisely why it has all its chances in a story like this.
