5Toubun no Hanayome - Vol. 9 Ch. 75 - The Five Cranes Show their Gratitude

So the test papers only shows Itsuki's score, which was 68.
Guess what happens during chapter 68

What did Negi mean by this?

My thinking with a "harem" ending is that he marries one of them but they all agree to share him. For life.

@Ichika
It just...Ichika started to learn to be more honest with herself and trying to catch up with Nino and Miku. All this time, she's been holding back for the sake of her sisters. Suppressing so many things inside her and acting like a proper older sister. But now, she also wants Fuutarou to look at her more, by any possible means.
Yeah, but being honest to her feelings is not the same as sabotaging her sisters. It's not that Ichika wants Fuutarou to look at her more; she wants him to look at her sisters less. A crucial difference.

She threw Nino under a bus during the hot springs arc (it's understandable she didn't want to do it, but then she should have said 'no' to Nino), she pretended that Miku (the person she even played matchmaker for!) is 100% in favor of Fuutarou and her going out, and she convinced her sisters not to give Fuutarou any presents so that she could be the only one. And when exposed, she doesn't feel guilty at all.

Is it that people like to fantasize about their favorite girl, knowing she is not the one? Is it just people always wanting to be "different," and pretending that one of the others is going to win? Is it just cool saying "harem ending," when that is not going to be?

Does anyone REALLY not understand that Itsuki is the bride?

In page 21, why tf Yotsuba was studying in the bathroom. I hope those papers is water resistant.

Nino best girl!!!!!! "i love him" she says <3 and in the first page she totally looks like a mother 😎

@princeofcups
When I started the series, I was 99% sure that Itsuki would win.
Now I am 80% certain she won't. Especially after it was said that the girl who tried to kiss him at the end of the "Scrambled Eggs Arc" is the Bride, as Itsuki has still not fallen in love with him.
With that said, whatever relationship she has with Fuutarou (be it platonic or romantic) may likely be more prominent than his relationship with the bride.

Holy shit, that first page. Their adult form is too much to handle for me heart!

Also, yepppp... from now on, it's full scale battle royale, folks!!

@princeofcups

You don't know it yet.
Maybe we will get a obvious and very boring ending with Itsuki as the bride, or a even more boring end with a harem ending (yikes), but the author can still surprise everyone and do a great end.

Let's wait and see..and hope.

@Vegetablesucks But they ALL look like mothers on the first page. Different kinds of mothers sure, but still mothers.

@Nayrael So you are 80% sure that Yotsuba will be the bride? Because it said that the kiss was when he first started to see the other person as special, which pretty much takes Nino out of the running. Because if it all started with this girl at the kiss, then the confession didn't impact his feelings enough for the marriage but we have already seen that the confession has impacted his feelings towards her. I am probably wording this poorly but I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

It can't be Ichika because she has turned into a snake, and when that gets out Fuutarou won't jump her to the wife position. So she is definitely the least likely to win. Miku is too shy and is constantly stopped herself from making progression, and her personality would have made it obvious she had kissed him in the chapters that followed it because she probably would have been quite giddy. That only really leaves Yotsuba and Itsuki as the only two who really fit the kiss and subsequently married position.

And if we are being honest, Itsuki was the girl he met in the past, the girl he has stated that he already loves. So she basically is going to end up the wife. I could be wrong though, one of the better girls could win, fingers crossed.

Miku and Nino are the best girls.

@FarAndLow

the fact that there's the possibility for this dynamic makes this harem/otp different than others. Shenanigans were foreshadowed so the ending can be anything. Unlike typical harem parallel races. The deep involvement all five have with each other means in order for a ship to truly be dead with no interaction or influence on the other sisters or Fuutarou; something drastic will have to happen with their independence from each other and unforgivable bridge burning. The latter of which is unlikely because quintuplet siblings. But anything can happen?

Is anyone else anxious to see Miku in her workout clothes, when she goes to the gym with Futarou?

As for Miku not making any moves, remember the wedding takes place some 4 years after high school. I think Miku is taking a page from the Sengoku warlords she idolizes, and is carefully crafting a strategic plan to become the woman that Futarou loves. There's plenty of time for her to execute the strategy she's laid out for her and Futarou.
