Oh looks like the Japanese finally remember that Transmutation magic is a thing. They usually won't even use evocation right. Much less remember that Transformation spells and self transmutation has been a thing for many decades.

Who doesn't know them, those classic elven names Louie and Nicky?
And don't forget about that famous Elven archer Freddy who help that guy with the big feet throw some junk into a lava pit.

I thought he was going to suplex that cart with some MUSCLE POWER FOR YOU

That's...wow. That's certainly...a magic.
The power of children is, once again, amazing. In this world at least, it's at least a Diplomacy bonus of like +20, isn't it?

@BloodySorcerer What on earth are you talking about?

I'm talking about self buff/transformations spells. They have long since a staple of the fantasy genre, a bit underused perhaps, but they usually show up even in kid stories, such as old Disney animations. But for some reason they rarely show up in manga, they usually only use Summoning magic and Evocation, of which they usually use Evocation badly, either having the Mage only use magic that belongs to an element or restrict it's power a lot.
Here is one rare story in which the MC does use transmutation spells. Another would be Goblin Slayer I supose, with the Lizardman Shaman using spells to increase his physical strength just like here.
