LN editor really should have kept Shizu alive for at least an arc to justify how invested the story is in her and her constant presence in all the marketing.

@aberdeus They tried with the initial vision of Rimuru's companions, then the crystal ball that's all we get. At the very least her first appearance could have been more grandiose. She doesn't arrive in the middle of a major disaster or conflict, no she just visits the village one day because she had a vision, and the next day she's dead. Half the conflicts are in fact due to how sudden her death is even though she knew it was coming for what centuries and gave no one any warning.
