I'm so confused. The original plan was to take her somewhere safe and have her adopted by a nice family, but I thought in the orphanage chapter, he came to realize she'd rather be with him than with some strangers. Why is he still so dead-set on getting her adopted?? How stupid is he?

I mean, if she ends up in a brothel I wouldn't mind adopting her...
Please don't jail me FBI-kun.

Well, in feudal Japan and China, it was common for poor people to sell/place young girls in brothels, when the family didn't have enough money to raise them.

They would be used as maids for the other girls until they came of age (around 14 I think?) and then would work as a prostitute, until someone bought them as a concubine or they died of some STD.

For a lot of girls, it was actually a better life than starving in the streets and end up raped and killed in a back-alley.

Some high class brothels were somewhat respectable.

Uh, he'd willingly take Ravi along and close to him when it comes to subjugating dragons, but in some alley it's too dangerous for her and she should hide?? In a (presumably) dangerous alley??

Cue all sorts of questions a father doesn't want his daughter asking so soon. Thanks for the chapter.

Some comment are just whacky

Probably some uber wizard never seen red light district

Noooo! Shield your pure innocent eyes, Ravi!

He should reeeeaally talk to her about his plans to leave her "somewhere safe" at this point.

I think this naive MC will try to go back to the Heroe's party and be like "Hey I can help you again! I got my skills back!" that's why he wants to ditch Ravi

@boogle at this point he already strongly suspects they were the ones who cursed him in the first place so that does not seem very likely.
