I love how Morimoto draws some characters' expressions... It's like she is making it very obvious who are going to be such a pain in the as*s in the story (cannot remember much from Gokusen, but it's definitely a yes from Koudaike no Hitobito), lol. The boy at the temple TOTALLY deserved that :I (also, yeah, the princess kinda makes you want to hate her at first sight).
