Probably because they don't look alike. Some siblings look like they're unrelated if you're not familiar with them.
Though, actually, in this case, lil bro does look somwhat similar to sis. He has similar eyes and lower face shape. The hair color and gender difference may make it hardder to notice though.

lol... there's two possibilities going on with the rice cooker... either she's growing aliens or she trapped a weird organism in it!! Lol, jokes aside, either she left something inside that's going bad or she's fermenting something XD!! Also... funny how they brought up Occam's Razor but didn't really give other possibilities consideration lol
