Many want happy ending for these two, (definitely sounds edgy af) but for some people dead is happy ending (double suicide from cliff definitely best ending).
Especially for these two, their usual life already lost. They can try to live somewhere in the rural place (yea, Like in Hokkaido) but still not really sure they can escape from their sin (especially MC).
Reading this kind of story and hoping they can live happy ever after (for me) is kinda weird, quite possible but still feel weird.

@Roxbit well they're already setting up where he is seeing the error of his ways and trying to fix his life. So I think he will choose to live the issue is convincing her to live for one we dont know the reason why and I don't think at this point she has real feelings for him but just letting go to ecstasy before she dies. It would be effed up shes sick and has to die anyways.

I still want to know, if she has a terminal illness. His resolve seems to be faltering, but she definitely steeled herself to go through with her decision. The candle who burns the brightest, burns the fastest, so I guess she wants to enjoy life before her suicide.


Still hoping for a happy ending with both of these alive, but I don't see it at the moment. Especially not for her. Maybe we will see him getting his life together after him crying at her grave and thanking her for all the times they shared and a short flashback over the whole manga as the last few pages of the last chapter. Manga authors tend do these kind of things. Still not fond of the whole "thank you for teaching me a lesson to make me a better person-tragedy end, though.
