@Freestyle Why does MC not deserve a happy ending? He's an asshole, but he never actually did what he was accused of. He's realized he needs to be better, why should he not get a chance?

He was a total asshole, but he was falsely accused. His "2nd chance" was being abandoned by everyone, and unfairly labelled as a criminal monster. He never had a second chance, he was tossed aside and crushed by society. I'd like to see anyone having a decent mindset after being treated like that. He didn't really 'choose to attempt rape' either, he just wanted money until she offered her body. Not saying he's blameless, he's a monster for doing it, but she suggested it.
It took being broken to the point of attempting suicide for him to think that way, and actually become a criminal.

@cor3zone I'm sorry, I'm kinda confused. Please explain happy ending for MC. Or for you, MC Being locked in jail is happy ending? not mentioning there's a hint that Ayame has terminal illness, quite possible she's gonna have short life.
For me, the best ending for these two is double suicide (couple double suicide has always been known as "happy ending" in many literatures -especially in japan-). Their relationship definitely grow up along the journey but in the other hand (like Ayame said in this chapter) they can't live normally anymore.

@Roxbit A happy ending for MC would be to get his act together, and have a productive life. Why should he end up in jail? The only actual crime he committed was robbery/rape, but I don't see any chance of the victim pressing charges. There's no evidence, so even a confession might do nothing.
Why would double suicide be a "happy ending" for MC? He doesn't want to die anymore. Her thoughts on the matter are not the same as his, obviously.

@cor3zone I'm sorry but in the end you still try to justify crime, you're kinda saying it's okay to do crime as long you can convince the victim to let it slide or it's okay to rape as long in the end the victim enjoying it!?
In the recent chapter, Ayame definitely make MC forgot about his "final" destination with her body but in this chapter Ayame solidly remind him why they're doing this. There's a definitely a big hint that MC is hesitant to die and there's also a big hint MC already charmed by Ayame the woman that apparently has strong determination to end her life by the end of summer. I think from now on the story will be personal battle in MC's mind wether to tag along with Ayame's decision or taking the opposite route.

@cor3zone I insist on suicide ending because it's the premise of this manga since literally chapter 1.
Whether the author will go for it or not definitely depend what's on his mind when writing next development.
But story like this end with your kind of happy ending, somehow feel weak. It's kinda like watching Game Of Throne with plot armor of shonen jump manga, that's the reason why I really want double suicide ending (started with tragedy and end it with another tragedy). Their soul were already wrecked, so maybe (at least) they believe they will be happy together in another realm.

@Roxbit You clearly don't read a lot of tragedy, then. It's pretty normal for a tragic story to have a cathartic ending. My prediction for this series is she dies, suicide or illness, while MC lives. Using her death as a catalyst, he turns his life around. Having every main character die in the end usually leaves a bad taste for the readers.

@cor3zone well depend on how the author's ability develop the premise into solid plot, event tragedy ending sometime can be received by many (maybe with little bit bad taste).
That's what I expect from this manga and its author, he's writing bold yet simple story line which actually can really happen in real life (not just some typical over dramatic tragedy story). It will be disappointing to see this manga end with cheap shonen romance type happy ending.

This shit is too funny. Author acts like this used-good's life matters. No, just keep giving us more sex scene and kill her off please. She already served her purpose of being MC's onahole, no more use. Stop polluting this world with used-goods please.
