@Epicredeemer

Nope. Mostly a matter of different languages. In common stories with pets, the pets generally don't speak cos they can't speak human.

Pretty sure the same applies to this. Except this time, we speak dog-people and can't understand humans (so she got *muted*)

If this was your first time editing a manga you either had really good raws or you're better than you think. either way good job.

That last bit remind me of every single pet owner. It's all right, I'm not lonely cause I have cute healing fluff. 😄

If fully immersed in a culture so that I literally needed it to survive? I could learn at least one word, yes

@OniBarubary the question is, could she speak the words even if she understood them? Think of a dog trying to speak like a human. Their throats are just not fit for it. We don't really know what kind of language they speak, it might just be low pitched growls or something.

@neetGuy Thank You so much for this! Typesetting was really good, only thing that's keeping it from being perfect is minor typo (page 3, upper left speech bubble "don'yt"), and i'll take any new chapter of this golden manga any day of the week, typos or not. You rock!

Thanks for translating this chapter, so rarely do the chapters of this manga come up that we lose hope sometimes.

Thank you for the chapter! It's pretty funny to hear the brother's thoughts on Lila x)

@SuppeBargeld That reminds me of an old SF book. This guy had met these very small humanoids with sort of stone age tech, and wanted to prove they were sapient to stop a corporate takeover of the planet. But they didn't seem to have language, just made sort of squeaky sounds that didn't add up to much. Then he got the idea of trying a machine that could "hear" different frequencies, and found not only did they have language, but they had learned English from him and when they talked to him, they were using it--just, mostly too high pitched for the human ear to hear.
