Seeing how I've never participated in scanlating manga, I'm in no real position to criticise, but back when I was in an anime fansubbing group for a little while, I did do my absolute best to ensure the highest quality I was capable of. If you spend your free time to do something for fun, you might as well try to do it well. Isn't it just a waste of your time otherwise?
