So Oden lost because the hag disguised herself as Momonosuke, and Oden was thick enough to believe it.

I mean, I guess it makes sense, but kinda disappointing. Also, still not that impressed with Oden's swords, given how much Oda is forcing the choice to Zoro to give up Ryuma's sword.

Wow, that was underwhelming.

The 2 last chapters both were incredibly underwhelming, being real here.

I liked the chapter. If anything, it showed how much Kaidou actually relies on strength in numbers, instead of individual power. Also, the thing with Momo? A fraction of a second on a battlefield, enough to shock Oden to his very core and make him hesitate for that same amount of time. Because you never know, there's always a chance they got to Momo, no matter how improbable the chances are (you don't have the time to even think that fact through and realize the bluff for what it is). Also enough time for Kaidou to get so angry due to the wounds inflicted on his "immortal" body that he immediately counters on auto-pilot, until his opponent is out of commission.

When thinking about it, Kaidou has quite a lot of "back-up plans", like enormous defence forces, his powerful dragon devil fruit, and his invincible(?) body (which is seemingly tied to Big Mom). I get the impression the man himself actually doesn't possess any mental strength, and is a walking inferiority complex. Who knows, the moment someone deals him a massive mental blow, the guy might be completely broken and never recover.

People fail to recall that this incident happened 20 years ago (comparing to current timeline) and Kaido presumably had just gained his status after Roger's death. Kaido acting cocky as he always has, he has been beaten and captured many times. He hasn't been invincible at any point, just strong as heck, accumulating power and prestige. Just now he is called "strongest", as Roger and Whitebeard are dead.

@LeEpicMinecrafter Went to check underwhelming in the dictionary...

Length rather than Expectation is a valid use for the term... You are right, my bad...

One piece always have material for more pages every week... You think sensei is really trying to make a chapter worth of 3 anime episodes... The ideal scenario would be if the episode directors could translate well such volume of information...

Até mais ver
