The sword of Damocles hanging over him is the precise reason for that. That Ohma knows that he's going to his death is what gives his actions meaning. It's stretched over a good third of the original manga. That means that since these last two chapters it's actually practically impossible to re-read one of my favourite manga ever now, because I'll always have "Ohma survived" hanging over my head. Which totally guts the original story.

KA is my favorite manga too, but that doesn't mean that I can't wait like a fucking adult for the authors to offer an explanation. You're treating this as if the manga had ended with this chapter, so either you've got no concept of "let's wait and see what'll happen" or you're the type of person who would chastise the author for doing something that doesn't suit your taste.
The way you cry about this makes me think that you also were upset over Agito losing to based beard because the Fang is supposed to be the strongest, or Ohma also losing to Gensai because "b-but muh MC can't lose! he died for this boo hoo".

I actually did give it a week. I gave it a week to see if Ohma was actually back or if Kazzy was just having a dream or something. But Ohma's made it clear it actually is back. So I don't need to wait for an explanation because an explanation doesn't matter. This is still an asspull because it wasn't set-up *at all* beforehand, but it doesn't matter whether it's an in-universe asspull or not.
The important thing is that Ohma escaped the consequences for the life he chose to lead. He chose to pursue kleos - immortal glory. At the cost of his own life, like Achilles. He made peace with that. But now he's un-died. The explanation is immaterial because my issue is not with the explanation of why Ohma died.

I actually loved those twists. I loved that Gensai's lifetime of experience trumped Fang's adaptation, and I liked how Ohma got his chance to win, but didn't. But no one can say that he didn't try, and trying is the important thing, even if what you want is impossible.
The difference is those twists actually made sense in-universe and had something to say thematically. They did not just undo the story's most important emotional beat for no fucking reason.

@Sigilbreaker26 you are 100% right but there's no point complaining here, on /a/ or whatever. Everyone with a brain knows that the manga jumped the shark and at the same time shitted all over the previous, perfect self contained manga.
I will keep reading because the fights are cool and the art is amazing but my expectations are really low, like average shounen low

It's almost like the sequel is not as popular as the original and the author guessing it's because Ohma is dead and he decided to resurrect Ohma to increase the popularity of the second story...

Why are there so many people complaining? If you said Ohma's "death" back in Ashura makes the ending perfect and unique, then no, that was just taking inspiration from Ashita no Joe. Just enjoy it people. If you can't appreciate Ohma's coming back to life, then that's your problem, lots more people seems to enjoy Ohma coming back. Stop complaining in every damn site

you guys are retarded. What jumping the shark are you talking about? Did you think no one would return from dead in this series while the psycho doc fixed the priest characters neck when raian broke his neck atleast in 2 different places? or when doctor resurrected himself?
