I re-read previous chapter and i dont see MC promise anything for that dead kid. Is it happened in the novel? Da hell?

text makes no sense, story-telling too even without text

English is not my first language and I felt like an idiot reading this and trying to make sense of it.
I guess someone fucked up with the text bubbles or something?

... i thought I have dementia or something, because I just can’t understand the story... thx god... you guys are here with me, let’s have dementia together

My interpretation:

Akira (hero) picked up the child and took her(?) to the village in the hopes that the villagers will give information.

(pg.9) Akira was asked to defeat the dragon, presumably by the child (pg.25/30).

Villagers have made a trade deal of sorts with the dragon and they sent the child to the dragon in return for scale, etc?

The party were making a plan to distract the dragon for a surprise attack, but the dragon showed up earlier than expected.

Akira wanted to ground the the dragon with a magic attack, but the dragon taunts her with the dying body of the child.

This is like deciphering ancient texts.
@Victormg the kid didn't die, from what I understood the hero took her from the mountain where the dragon was going to make the child its toy. That scene where the kid appears dead is just something that could've happened. No one in the village would talk about the monster, so they learned it from the child.

error... reading.exe stopped working after a few pages... switch to watching.exe....

So it looks like this group normally does Chinese to English and...this looks like a machine Japanese to English with no attempt to make it better.
