Gotta say this is looking good. I thought the father was a complete idiot sending her off to boot camp. It's like finding your kid is J.P. Morgan, then sending them off to learn auto repair. No idea what the next few chapters are going to bring but there's good possibilities.

Reopen the succession with who can do more for the house ?

Give Paryl the spot and she is forced to defend it ?

Keep thing as they are but have paryl in charge of financial affairs ? This world would then get to see the old maxim of "if you don't like people just buy them out and be rid of them" in action
