Despite a lot of people here being MAJORLY suspicious, I think the Crown Prince really does love his older brother and sister. The comment about letting his guard down is probably about being with his older brother; he's too comfortable, that's why he let his guard down.

I do feel like they have a close relationship before politics got to it. I think they're like Elise and Canaria's princes-- Personally they do like each other, but politically they are from different factions so they have to fight

But nah. Crown Prince (CP) said that the way his knights were killed was similar to Rayburn's skills. And the whole author vs bookseller fiasco...the chubby man had a knife with blood on it, and the blonde had a cut on her arm, and he claimed her to be the author. And both of the so-called Author were in his territory.
Does Rayburn really think CP is that dumb? He grew up. He's not a little tail anymore (someone who always follows you around... aka goldfish poop)

Interesting... yeah I agree Crown Prince seems to be pressured by outside forces. It’s kind of weird how everyone has chemistry with each other and yet there’s still so much tension. Like even CP’s knight doesn’t seem *completely* bad, even if he’s an absolute jack. I guess that’s what politics does.

(My guess is the chancellor is the bad guy, if there was one)

Given the crests, I suppose chancellor is CP's blood uncle. Or even grandfather.
Naturally he has a great interest in placing his blood on the throne. A sentiment I can understand, actually.
Very smart game of puppeting the council anyway. And the knights. I suppose he really is a man behind all of this amniosity. Again, the reasoning is straight beleivable.

Also, it is not really shown what is the matter with other side of twins family. I mean, they were born from 'the eldest daughter'. It would be very strange if their line has already died out

For a moment I thought that the crown prince is bad then he talked and teased the duke so I thought “Nah. He’s good” and then he made that comment. Both sides seems to have a love and hate relationship. Can’t they just get along? Why does the CP needs to be the villain? ( I’m not sure about that)
