Everyone's getting upset, but I honestly prefer this to the power of friendship asspull ending I thought we were just about to get- at least here someone is ACTUALLY doing something smart to stop the demon instead of just telling him to stop. He is INFECTED, directly, by the progenitor of all demons as part of his dying wish and a simple "believe it" ending would be so damn lame.

I like how this situation is the reverse of the beginning of the manga, with Nezuko telling the same words Tanjiro told her back then, and Gyuu hesitating once again to deal the final blow.

we don't need to know beforehands the effect of the drugs,the author showed that ubuyashiki told tamayo to help them kill muzan and join shinobu with the experiments.
in the drug for muzan to return into human tamayo made 3 other effects that conterattack his skills since she saw what hes capable of,and since shes not an idiot,2 effect for weakining him and the last one for the last shot.
the first one, the aging effect,was even foreshadowed with the white hairs,this is the least plausible one.
the second is obvious since we saw the flashback about muzan vs yoriichi.
preventing his escaping trick so an effect for preveting self splitting.
the last one is just basic cell destruction that began to take effect after he was weakened a lot.

@simo796 shinobus poisons were fucking ass, they couldn't do shit even to lower numbers. The "three medicines" were an asspull from the beginning, there was exuny nothing telling tamayo could make any of them before, and shinobu only had the "kill the basic bitches poison". None of this should work. Muzan should kill them all, and of the manga.
