having read the story, the dryads are litterally just avatar's of the tree, aka they're more interested in fertilizer, rather than anything else, there's literally no hidden meaning XD, they want fertilizer, and had mira actually thought to bring fertilizer... it might have lasted longer

I guess someone was behind the artist saying "Stop with the extra stuff" and rather than taking it as "You draw too much food focused extra stuff" the artist took it as "Shorten the actual story scenes so we can add in more food related stuff later on!"
