This Lolong Donaire character seems pretty interesting
A Filipino fighter perhaps? I'd vouch for his name to be 'Grandpa Donaire', with the Donaire name coming from the Filipino boxer Nonito Donaire. Might be a stretch is it?

Oh ho! Looks like Saw Paing might have helped our buddy out with his shattered hand.

@Kapouedo Yes you can mix them, its takes a lot of time to get used to but you can. I mix boxing with JKD, helps that the stances are similar but its a literally mind exercise to switch up and mix them.

I mean, hence Okubo’s reaction. He’s balking at the fact that someone is actually using it in a serious underground fighting match. What Carlos is using is boxing, a Chinese martial art, and Capoeira, though, not purely Capoeira. It’s better to think he’s simply taking what works with his physique and overall style instead of practicing the entirety of it.

Capeoira isn't quite as big a meme as things like aikido and anything that purports to operate off of chi

But it is fairly limited by itself. Okubo's reaction - that it's had maaaybe one or two guys using it in MMA*- is probably the best response.

*(though confusingly two of them were two different, unrelated guys named Marcus Aurelio)

I eagerly await Christie Monteiro's return in the next Tekken game. Bandai Namco is taking too long.

@TrueGoddesReincarnation is that even real? I don't know fake, looks Rick. Check this one out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oO0jo4tvC-s

And remember, that guy is not the best capoeirista, but he's a worthy representant.
