Even though it was the "right" move by Mr. Edgelord over there ... it was still a dick move. All IS fair in Love and War though so you can't fault him. Although, the whole "I can't beat her (and she seems to like that other guy) so I'll try to kill her because she's distracted" thing leave a bad taste in the mouth. While it was prudent to strike at the enemy at the best opportunity it was also dis-honorable. Though if you choose honor over winning then you might just end up dead in a real fight.

@Dipuc4Life but it is curious about we did not think the same when it was the MC turn and the glasses guy doing the same to the knuckles, dual swords and long sword girls. They are likeable so it is right, maybe?

@Abetillo ... you are right in that the MC did what was essentially the same thing, except that it seemed clear (at least to me) that the intent was different. He did interject in their fights but his intent was different. His main goal all along was to escape and even the conversation he had with the FMCs best friend made it clear that he wasn't really trying to kill them. On the other hand, the other guy was clearly trying to kill her when her guard was down (and also between a rock and a cliff).
At the end of the day, we can only speak to the inner monologues of both characters. One wanted to kill this woman who had embarrassed him many times, spurred his advances, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to strike while the iron was hot. The other wanted to escape without hurting anyone. Hell, he didn't even want to take a freely offered hostage to accomplish that. Hindsight is always 20-20 and looking back we can see the difference between the two.

@Dipuc4Life nah, they are the similar: The last thing he thinks before attacking her is, ''we're fighting for survival, the war has already begun''. He goes for the kill because he is not OP as the MC so he does not have that option available, as he forgot his previous story with her since the moment he met his mother.
The MC and the glasses guy also attacked by surprise on unfair situations two of the other girls. He did not take the offered hostage because he though the other would be better and did not want to involve the blonde girl because she seemed to be with the rebels, or so he said.

Confused,,, he did he move to shield her, or did he attempt to kill her ? But I know there was second arrow she deflected...... So the target was her.
