@kpanda I think maybe it's more to do with the authors culture than what era this manga is portrayed in.. When someone is like a loud eater and/or eats a lot(theres a bit more to it than that) they consider it "eating well".

@Kirin-kun No offense but she really is, she dosen’t understand their reasons why they need to do the things that they do, it’s a necessary for the world they live in and being naive to it is too harsh...
Though I think the duke generally likes her, he wants the same treatment since he likely longed for it all his life....So he is rather jealous and feels wronged since he is treated badly even tho he is somewhat more innocent

mewples hit itnin the head, the Duke is awkward because of his own upbringing, Ains already developed a decisive and cunning personality while the Duke is more cold and unfeeling in his development compare to ains who can take his cuteness Duke way more innocent when it comes to his emotions, which the FL needs to slowly open up,help if they do actually become a romantic couple and have a child how would ains take it,would be interesting.
