She didn't want to deal with him and she simply found a convenient excuse (felony) to get rid of him.
She was rather hospitable at the beginning but as soon as he revealed his intentions and his incompetence (he was part of the reason why they had servants which she had to fire), she lost all interest and respect for him. She simply can't turn him away normally as this could reflect badly on her, and it would give him a chance to cause trouble in her territory in the near future. She had to get rid of him.

The translation is good, I could read and understand each sentence instantly without having to re-read it and mentally rearrange the words to make sense of it, nor were there any flat out sentences that is just ‘..what the heck did that sentence even say?’
