Everybody who complain about "loly collection" or "bad people are ugly"... You just need to read chapter carefully and think about it. Hires explicitly are young unmarried women. Question is - why (pseudo)medieval young woman would be unmarried after leaving age of childhood? And 99 times out of 100 answer is she have bad personality, she's lazy AND she's ugly, because all that have at least one good quality would already be married and those that do not already have a good job that precludes marriage. It's for a good reason that oldest two are widow and girl from a village without a single male to marry.
