Last arc was just bad. Felt so rushed, and there were no stakes since everything got resolved easily. The first arc felt like a completely different series.
@Shaolin_Funk : Yeah, I know what you mean. Maybe he gets to experience all that love and courage himself? Maybe he consumes her memories? That god like being was very poorly thought out. Also Emma loosing her memories for a 1/2 chapter of suspense and sadness isn't really relevant if we're to end on a happy ending where everything is fine, she'll get her old life told back to her in stories, gets to be loved and babied by all... I mean, I wanted this great ending, but this feels like unnecessary backstab.
I'm a little sad because the ending for Demon Slayer was also weird and fucking Meh... @Midnight_Sloth my thoughts exactly. BUT, tbh, I'd much rather take a half baked ending to a fantastic series over the neverending treatment of stuff like Bleach & co. I'm glad such great mangakas are now free to start up new passion projects (because they're both there now, they can pitch whatever the fuck they want).
Mediocre series overall. Was great until more or less the point where Emma talks Norman out of his plans. Plenty of important questions left unanswered too.
Ending would have been better if the reunion had happened when they're all old folks.
This manga nearly convinced me to go vegan at the mid-point of the story, yet somehow, I now want to kill myself for wasting time on this shit. Thx mangaka.
It's never easy to end a series so, I glad the end is not that bad, I don't know, I want the author making 3 or 4 ending.
1. Is this end
2. They never find ema
3. They found ema when they are old
4. They found ema and their life after they find ema
The start was a solid 9-10 up to goldy pond arc, after that it was still meh at 7 but the final arc and that ending... idk this just felt so unsatisfying for some reason. I hope if the anime continues, they change the direction after goldy pond
Meh ending. The last bunch of chapters felt like going through the motion as most of the suspense and dread of the arc is gone. In any case, I'm relieved to just see one manga end within my lifetime.
Also as a Norman fangirl, I'm just glad he made it out alive. It was the equivalent of a friendship ending in otome-speak, but heck, I'm holding out for an epilogue. /fingers crossed
