This beta personality bullshit is really starting to irk me. Its like the japanese media are pushing a stereotype that they have only three personalities: timid doormat, pervert and yakkuza/psychopath. Hero, or even brave normie is like a temporary abnormal status that the MC acquires from time to time as the result of the right psychological pressure. He's a BAMF for the duration of one fight, then back to being a the guy who drowns in his own flop-sweat whenever he has to talk to a girl.

I feel like the pronouns in this chapter especially are messed up
Props to the cat for not immediately sharing what he knew. He understood that if he said who make the bird then and there, the mc would have no choice and be forced into the situation. At least he waited and asked him; still it’s pretty sad at all that they are so ready to rely on outsiders. Do people not care about cleaning up their own messes and handling their own problems anymore? I’d get it if this was something they didn’t understand (from the other world), but this is their area of expertise that they should be prepared for. Don’t lean on the first person with potential you meet and strong arm him into helping you.
