I’m guessing the point in pointing out that those finger and foot stabs were only skin-deep is to show that Rihito’s Razor’s Edge can carve way deeper into the flesh. An emphasis on superhuman physical abilities over combat intelligence and technique, then?
@Tersione
Yep. Though I don’t think it’ll be that much different, just Rihito fighting smarter while leveraging his strength. We have Gensai’s finishing move being his Devil Lance, but he’s still an amazing fighter without it. Rihito probably wanted to imitate him in that respect, but since he doesn’t have that much experience yet, he’ll be leaning more on his Razor’s Edge.
@KeiosKod The main difference is that he's received some basic training from Kuroki, but even that basic training might level up his Razor's Edge even if Rihito didn't train it all that much. Although, I suspect he still trained it in some form since it would be stupid not to regardless of how ineffective the move was in the past.
He figured out on his own, so it's not like he's not thinking. He just stopped wanting to do it his master way and choose to do it his own proper way. So he could go beyond.
