Welp it nice and all but kinda plot armor and bullshit.

I wouldn't call it plot armor, since he devises and executes an actual plan. The artist does purposefully draw things to mislead the reader. Like this jump, or how Hobin was absolutely drawn on top of taekwondo guy during the first choke attempt, until he's suddenly drawn on one side.

good development
also Bomi's figure is weird, it's a little too close to One Piece standards and weird because the rest of the art maintains a sense of realism

@goarachnidlaser
This “plan” wouldn’t work without the plot armor. There’s no way he would be able to dodge it like that. The spinning back kick is fast, if he started that dodge while the kick was just starting, he wouldn’t make it. If he started the dodge before the kick, there’s no way Mr. Taekwondo wouldn’t have seen it.

who cares abt the plot armor and if it is supposedly realistic or not, this is fiction guys

@Speederzdk I think its possible. Hobin has seen the spinning back kick a few times and he was expecting that kick. The indication of using that technique is when the user turns around and if Hobin begins to hang himself, it should be enough time to dodge the kick because getting into the position of hanging also doesnt take long.

@Joerailgun

I practice muay thai not taekwondo so I'm not sure if the technique is different, but the spinning back kick I learned is actually a super risky and relatively slow move that needs to be set up, since you need to change your footing, I usually throw it after a hook or kick.

This guy just throws it whenever he feels like it, with no set up, since he only ever fights weak dudes. Ssamdog took it once so he was no longer intimidated by it and was able to react. Honestly pulling himself up was kinda bullshit, he could have simply tackled him which would be way faster and safer, but tbh that move was pretty hype, author just wanted to draw cool shit and it worked fine lol

Unrelated, and it was mentioned last chapter I think, but author really missed the opportunity to have ssamdog learn clinching, since taekwondo doesn't really have tools to deal with it.

Bad translation. Jiksae was actually worried about the mc and was asking him why he tried so hard to make money. A lot of other mistakes as well
