By the way, for those of you who don’t like this particular translation, you can always check out the Shounen Jump app. They have Kaiju No. 8 there under its original title, and with a different translator working on it.

1: lot's of people that need to be taught some discipline.
2: fucking hell, what is in Kafka's (ooooooh, that's not even clever, how the fuck did I not notice that) genes that makes him so unsuited to be a hunter? That's just flat unfair, and I can tell this is gonna be a long fucking trek with people constantly being rude to him. Props to beachhead for thanking Kafka, though.
3: I really hope "blonde bitch groupie" doesn't become his nickname, that would be awful.
Honestly, I think this manga would work better as a story about a vigilante hero, a la kamen rider or Vigilante:BnHA:Illegals. Some overarching story with a focus on just a few characters and bombastic action, man-made-monster vs monster-of-the-week, instead of this massive rival jerk fest we undoubtedly are gonna get here.

@fitizen I myself just open the chapter link in incognito since the default ready will properly show the link. Kinda sad that the old reader can show links for groups that took their chapters down, but not for offical outside links.

man I wish I didn't get blinded every time I opened MangaPlus website with the red bars...

@xyzzy : english translated? Whats the difference between Mangaplus and Shonen Jump anyway if they provide english translation (I just installed mangaplus recently)

@kuma @Mustang_00 thanks guys. Also, hope that thing about webtoon was just hearsay? Tried reading the king's avatar over there and couldn't load anything after chapter 20. On multiple devices. If that's the future, I may as well jump over to an aggregation site.

@YouSuckDiddleyUck It's a very recent update on Webtoon that introduced a "daily pass" for completed or long series, basically restricts to one chapter a day after the first 10 or 20. Completely illogical move on their part and must have caused a huge migration by now.

@Syanindita

MangaPlus has the series translated by MediBang, an independent company of translators. As such, that’s why it’s called “Monster #8” there - the translator decided that that was a suitable translation.

Shonen Jump’s translation is done by Viz, and features freelance translators they have hired for other projects (the translator for their version also does Undead Unluck). It really comes down to individual preferences - take a look at both translations and see which one you prefer.

Jesus christ I hope the girl fucking dies but knowing manga it's probably going to turn into a bride or some stupid shit
