A Boy's Scar - Vol. 2 Ch. 8

Just caught up to this...it’s a pretty easy read although the atmosphere is so bizarre.

We’re up to chapter 8 but the general plot still takes a backseat — but so far we can assume this girl is taking in the son of her longtime crush who also happens to be a vampire and she doesn’t even bother thinking about it too much...and also I theorize the kid might have some trauma involving his role on his mother’s death.

BRUH. I did a quick search online and read that there are some ransels (backpacks/Randoseru) for as low as $80. But most parents buy the $300 ones. And the price can go up to $800-900 for some....

WTH, the most expensive backpack my parents bought was for $70. And in college I bought something cute and practical for $36 (it was a Himawari bag).
But honestly,,,,, if you have the money, go for it. Buy whatever you want. Lots of ppl in the US send their kids to school with all kinds of expensive clothes and accessories. But for standard school equipment (backpack) to be $400+ seems crazy to me (but then again they spend lots of money on cram schools and other after-school study programs).

((and now I'm thinking about all of the manga with bullying, and they destroy the victim's possessions. I'd flip my sh** if someone damaged my $400 bag.))

Fuusuke leaning his head against Suzu’s back because she’s not paying attention to him. Oww, my heart.

I too want the frog plushie.

The expenses might have something to do with how heavy handed it is that a child's role is purely to study/advance in school. Parents spare no expense because in their eyes it's the only thing their kid should be focusing on anyway so might as well spend the money.
