@Acciunt 100% agree, but I've met people in real life with the same kind of situation. Famous parent, unsupportive family, smarter/stronger sibling (childhood friend in this case), and ridicule from classmates after comparison to the famous parent -- it usually just causes a rebellion at some point, but some of them become very successful in a different field. What I'm trying to say is -- there may be good writing behind this.

They're actually right, this isn't isekai.

I like the fact that this guy is suffering from a self-inflicted second-rate syndrome, it makes him relatable. It's probably because I just read a cute manga that made me cry a few times earlier, but my heart really goes out to this guy. Hope it gets better for him.
