Tbh the demon king seems pretty much the most likeable character of this manga so far. I feel bad for him since the guy only lost because he was ganged up by weaker humans and lost because of it.
Also not really sure if I like this mc or not. Surely he's a victim but he also has a bad attitude, especially towards the demon king

Yeah, I’d hate that atmosphere myself. I’m surprised he hasn’t cracked and either run away or told everyone to F off. That type of atmosphere looks toxic and suffocating; the only not terrible person to him is the sadistic maid. Everyone else is just the worst whether they mean it or not. The father could pretend to love his son (haven’t seen anything that suggests to me he care about him at all; a little praise from a parent goes a long way) and the princess since she obviously likes him could take a minute to step in his shoes and realize how he feels (generally a good rule to try and understand the person you like). The teachers can all go kill themselves. He has the best grades (far better than the Hero) and still gets treated like some delinquent. I’d have run away a long time ago and just lived on my own (its a fantasy world and comparatively easier to leave as a kid). He’s fairly component in swordsmanship and intelligent, no reason he couldn’t live on his own if he tried. That environment is just toxic and everyone needs a wake up call. Joining the imperial knights is just obviously going to make things worse.

Shinobu is best girl by far. She knows MC's dumb but manly shounen side and fucking loves it, and she clearly expresses it in actions and words.
Sure, she has stalker-ish tendencies, but it all comes off as clearly light-hearted and funny compared to what he had to endure with the women around him before.

in chapter 10 intermission, while the emperor and hiro were discussing the drunk arrangement of eirth being engaged to the princess, the school instructor came by and talked to them about eirth answering the trivia on the demon lord's eye powers.. they got frozen and they clearly know it's the truth but kept it under wraps.. kinda sux for mc to keep getting looked down all this time, cant wait for the rest of the chapters
@Gravewind Man, I would love to read that story instead. How wonderful it would be if the demon king took control over the boy to wreak havoc on the world.
