It's supposed to be hard to read, her handwriting's really bad.
I took a look at the raws. I'm far from a kanji master, but the handwriting's really bad there, too. Maybe worse.

In this case, it would be appropriate to have the real meaning of these as a footnote with a translator's note explaining the font choice :/

It appears to be the same font that JB used previously in the very early chapters, so...
I'd prefer footnotes to be used for actual translation issues. The font is not THAT hard to read IMO
